Randall C. Latorre, MD
MEDICAL SPECIALIST | BOARD CERTIFIED
My introduction to medicine began with my father, Rudolfo Latorre, a family practice physician. On occasion, I would make rounds in the hospital and nursing home with him and observe how he connected with his patients.ﾠ My father had a great bedside manner joking with the patients, but always knew when he needed to be more serious to deliver a message.ﾠ It’s becauseﾠof my father that I pursued a medical career and eventuallyﾠbecame a board certified Otolaryngologist and Fellowship trained facial plastic surgeon. This has provided me the opportunityﾠtoﾠpositively affectﾠthe lives of many over the past 15 years.
Ultimately, I became interested in surgery, especially the head and neck, because of the challenging and intricate anatomy. Surgery is as much about knowledge and technique as finesse.ﾠ You must have a command of the anatomy and surgery, but also the ability to think on your feet and have the finesse to make changes during the surgery that benefit the patient.ﾠ Therefore, I chose to specialize in diseases of the sinuses, facial plastic reconstructive surgery and office-based procedures.ﾠ I received my Doctor of Medicine from the University of Missouri-Columbia and later completed an Ear, Nose and Throat residency at Yale University.ﾠ From there, I went on to complete my fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in the San Francisco Bay area and Indianapolis, Indiana.ﾠ I was so inspired by my father’s passion for this field of work that I knew some day I would be following in his foot steps.ﾠ In 2009, I was honored with the Patients’ Choice Award and am highly regarded by my patients for my bedside manner just like my father.ﾠ My patients have peace of mind knowing that I participate in the Maxillofacial trauma team at Regional Medical Center-Baynonet Point and am affiliated with Morton Plant Mease-Northbay Hospital, Medical Center of Trinity and St. Joseph’s Hospital-North.
When I’m not in the office or operating room I love nothing more than spending my time off with my wife and 5 children.ﾠ Whether we’re snow skiingﾠin the mountains or just enjoying the few quiet times we have together, I’m a man that understands the importance of family.
