Heather was born in New York and moved to Florida with her family when she was 10 years old. She was raised in East Lake, Florida and attended East Lake High School. While in high school she was a member of the varsity soccer team and participated in the executive internship program where she interned in the operating room at Florida Hospital of North Pinellas. During her internship she discovered her passion for caring for patients and working in health care.

 

After high school she attended Florida State University where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science. While attending Florida State University she volunteered in Tallahassee Memorial Hospital’s oncology clinic and worked as a certified nurse assistant in the post-surgical unit of Capital Regional Hospital.

 

After graduation Heather moved to West Lafayette, Indiana with her husband and attended Marian University’s Accelerated nursing program to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. After graduation, Heather and her husband moved to Detroit, Michigan where she worked as a registered nurse in Beaumont Hospital’s Emergency room. During her time as a registered nurse she obtained her advanced cardiac life support and trauma nurse certifications.

 

In an effort to improve quality of care she provides for her patients and expand her knowledge of medicine, Heather obtained a Master’s degree in nursing from the University of Cincinnati in December of 2016. Upon completion of her degree ,Heather obtained an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license.

 

Heather joined Florida Medical Clinic and Dr. Latorre’s practice in April of 2017. She works with a variety of patient populations and treats issues including hearing loss, vertigo, snoring and sleep apnea, throat discomfort, nasal congestion, allergy and sinus consultations.

 

In her spare time, Heather enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and son.
